A last Will and Testament takes effect only after the person has died. The LPA operates after the donor loses his mental capacity as certified by a doctor.

A last Will and Testament takes effect only after the person has died.

The LPA operates after the donor loses his mental capacity as certified by a doctor.

The LPA does NOT deal with the distribution of a person’s assets after his death.
